Jump on a train from Plymouth to Newquay for only £11 (or £7 if you have a railcard) and be in the beautiful seaside town within two hours. Wrap up warm, make a packed lunch and spend the day roaming around quirky shops; no need to let the cold weather put you off! Look for crabs and creatures in rock pools, climb the cliffs and explore the caves, or sit back and relax on the beach with a book, there are so many options (and the best part is, they're all free!)
You can even brave the waves and rent a surfboard from the abundance of surf shops floating around the seaside town... although I'm not (anything close) to a surfer, Newquay is still one of my favourite places to go on a budget!

Thank you for reading, there are plenty more adventures to come!
